Today’s a typical Monday … I came in to work greeted by my usual slew of emails received over the weekend. And it never fails, someone will fax me something on Friday that they “need” to have done before the weekend — nevermind the fact that I rarely do favors anymore because my clients now expect to get them every week, and I always ask for at least a day’s notice before springing something on me when I *do* do them!
However, this one was different because the fax came through at 5:08pm. On a normal day (and like most other offices), we have all vacated the premises by five-oh-oh on the dot; but on Fridays, we are almost always out of here before 3 o’clock. All of our clients know this; it has been this way pretty much since the company opened. But this numbnuts is now upset because I didn’t get the fax in time. (Helloooooooooooooooooo! McFly! Try sending it to me a little earlier next time!)
Aaaaaannnnnnyways, Google‘s down … at least, it is from work. Most likely a DNS problem with NetworkTel. We’ve been having serious DNS issues for the last month … they are behaving more and more like BellSloth every day. *sigh*
What’s more, I can’t seem to function without Google. It’s my start page, and I use it for nearly everything. If I don’t know something, I Google it — needless to say, I do a *lot* of Googling (their Image search is the best that I know of). I’m able to hit it up fine through MegaProxy, so I’ve setup a temporary shortcut on my browser links bar to use it until the real deal is accessible.
